According to a report from E! Online, Rose McGowan is now coming after David Boies, Lisa Bloom, as well as Harvey Weinstein in a new lawsuit regarding the 1997 rape allegations.
In a new suit filed this Wednesday, Rose and her attorney accused Bloom, Weinstein, and Boies, as well as the intelligence organization, Black Cube, of conspiring to ensure her story never hit the press. Documents obtained by E! News revealed the new suit today.
Some of the actions listed in the suit include intentional infliction of emotional distress, fraud, racketeering, invasion of privacy, as well as violating the Federal Wiretap Act. According to the actress in the suit, all of the transgressions listed above were done as part of a concerted effort to protect the former Hollywood mogul’s reputation.
As it was previously reported, McGowan claimed she was one of many women targeted by the disgraced producer, which she detailed in her 2018 book, Brave. Continuing in the statement, Rose, through her lawyers, stated she has suffered “tremendously” as a result of the aforementioned individuals’ actions.

Moreover, in another personal statement written by McGowan herself, she claimed her life was “upended” by Weinstein and the people he had worked with, including Boies and Lisa Bloom. Rose went on to add that The Weinstein Company exec had been able to get away with his crimes for years through his team of people who helped cover up abuse.
Phyllis Kupferstein, Weinstein’s lawyer, said to reporters from NBC News that Rose McGowan was simply out for publicity and money. Furthermore, Kupferstein claims she, Harvey, and the rest of his team knew Rose would eventually come out with these allegations. “We will demonstrate that this case has no legal merit.”
Bloom’s attorney, Eric George, previously said to The Hollywood Reporter that Rose doesn’t have any grounds to stand on legally. He described Rose’s decision to include Lisa Bloom as “inexcusable.”
